This is your (303 ARRSq) webpage:  With any luck, it will be updated on a semi-regular basis (or as often as there is something new sent in to put up on the page).

The ball is in your court !

Need material to make this an interesting site and to better inform and entertain the members of the Association.  Send your snail mail pictures or information to Ivan Nash, 2001 Cynthia Ct., Abilene, TX 79602-5245…..325.673.9920…..inash@cox.net
(If you have any new e-mail or snailmail addresses for 303rd members, please send them to:            inash@cox.net    or   bandb2@citlink.net  and we will get them in the loop also.)
The Association still needs copies of photos from any of the reunions or earlier memorabilia shots  to make displays for the reunions and to be included in the newsletters.
This page like the rest of the 303rd Association, will be what the members make of it.
Your contributions are definitely needed !!!
Your Association
Do we need something like this designed for our "more experienced" members ??

WHISKEY PETES WILL BE REUNION HEADQUARTERS

Reservations: 1-800-FUN STOP (386-7867)
This was going to be a ho-hum follow up to finalize the details of the 2005 reunion.

We had contracted to hold the reunion at the Primm Convention Center as we had in the past. However, another organization had previously committed to holding their event at the Primm Valley Star of the Desert Arena facility. An up & coming musical group, The Rascal Flats has since been booked into the Star of the Desert Arena facility for a one night concert Friday April 15th. We were advised that the other organization would have the choice of downsizing to the Convention facility, rescheduling or canceling. If they chose to opt for the convention center we would be squeezed to Whiskey Petes Showroom or we could reschedule or cancel. We were held hostage until the first group advised Primm Valley of their decision. Unfortunately, their point of contact could not be reached and a decision was not made until Feb 28th. They chose to downsize to Primm Convention Center and its associated facilities. This was not unexpected.
We now had the choice of accepting the move to Whiskey Petes, rescheduling or canceling. We had already made the decision to accept the shift (shaft?) to Whiskey Petes if we were downsized. We lack detailed knowledge of the facility. Byron Smith has volunteered to infiltrate the facility and report back with all of the pluses and minuses. We will not have the information before this update has gone to press but will insure that we are well prepared to handle the crowd.

With this change of plans now that we will be using Whiskey Petes Showroom facility for our central location it is time to make your reservations. Call the hotel using the "Group Code SC 30414" to identify yourself as a participant in the 303rd ARRS Reunion. We have committed to a block of rooms but reservations must be made by April 4th, 2005,. Check In time is 3:00 pm weekdays, 4:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. Check Out time is 12:00 pm (noon) daily. The RV Park has been closed but a designated RV parking area is located behind Buffalo Bills. No amenities; dry camping only. (Think of a Wal-Mart parking lot.)

Hotel Friday /Saturday /  Buffalo Bill's $ 46.95  ↑  $56.95   ↓  Primm $ 49.95↔ $69.95↔Whiskey Pete's $ 36.95  ↑ $ 46.95  ↓The rates are different for the three hotels for Friday & Saturday nights. Arrows indicate price changes since the last reunion. Committee members have stayed in all three and found them satisfactory. A short (?) walk between facilities (for the exercise enabled) or take the shuttle bus which runs every 20 minutes between the three hotels. Sunday - Thursday room rates are much lower.

Its hard to believe that it has been 20 years since the 303ARRS went to the elephants graveyard. Gone but not forgotten. Do you have photos, documents, doo-dads & other souvenirs to share? We will have a display area.
Have you reviewed the membership list included in the last mailing? We are still receiving changes and information on lost members. If you are still in contact with lost members or have an update please advise:

REUNION AGENDA

Friday, 15 April: After checking into your room, head for the 303rd OPS CENTER to pick up your name tags and advise us of your hotel & room number. We will be located at the entrance to Whiskey Petes Showroom. We will have an information sheet with the latest updates.

Friday, 1800- 2200: Start your reunion this evening in the Hospitality Area located in the Whiskey Petes Showroom. Show up early and visit.
18:00 - CA$H BAR - 20:00 or until ?

Hot & Cold Hors doeuvres:

Assorted Vegetable Tray w/Dip
Assorted Domestic Cheese Tray w/Crackers
Buffalo Wings w/Blue Cheese Dip
Fried Chicken Drummettes w/Honey Sesame sauce
Spanakopita (Spinach & cheese baked in a dough crusts)
Crab Puffs
Beef Brochettes

Hor doeuvres are furnished by the Association through your dues.

Saturday, 16 April:  Good day for sight seeing (Hoover Dam, The Strip, Discount Malls, etc.) The information center located in the adjoining Discount Mall can provide a schedule & costs for a shuttle to the strip. Another possibility would be if enough people were interested in carpooling to Las Vegas perhaps we could match willing drivers with open seats. Please indicate your interest on your return coupon.

Saturday -1600 hours or 4:00 pm (whichever comes first).
Association Members Meeting (BYOB).  An open Association meeting to set the course for the
next reunion. The next reunion site selection will be an important subject. Perhaps the frequency of the reunions could be adjusted. Perhaps a future cruise could be planned. Maybe some one has a dynamite idea. Lets talk.
Your Committee can't do much without member input. Realistically we have limited choices available: remain at Primm, go to another site or go on a cruise. The status quo, remaining at Primm is the easiest solution. If a different site is considered we would need a local point of contact that would assume the responsibility and be familiar with contracts, logistics, financials, etc. A cruise is one stop shopping; pay your money and let someone else handle the details. We have a squadron contact that could one-stop a cruise package for the Association. Take out a blank sheet of paper and list your choices. But be honest when you are listing the pluses & minuses. We are a desirable group at Primm because we are repeat customers. (Hope we like Whiskey Petes!) I remember being told that we shouldnt hold a reunion in SoCal because so many people would attempt to drive home after partying. That was 10 years ago. I hope we can open all areas for consideration.

Association Dues are voluntary but strongly encouraged. The dues provide the funds necessary to print, label and mail the newsletters. Committing to a reunion-booking contract requires cash deposits to be placed and financial commitments to be made on behalf of the Association. We need to keep cash on hand to honor these commitments when they come due.The dues are also used to provide the Hospitality Room rental, bartender fees, & Hor doeuvres, etc.. We would encourage a positive response from those members who have not contributed their $15.00 annual dues.
Saturday 1730-2200: Cocktails/Dinner Buffet:

The cash bar will open at 17:30 for your convenience.
The buffet dinner will begin at 18:30.

Note: The meal prices have not been increased for several years, but a increase to current pricing would be a severe shock to our wallets. The catering staff worked hard to provide us with an excellent menu at a reasonable cost.

The dinner cost is $24. 00 - 7.25% Tax and 18% Service Charge
or a rounded total of $30.00 per person.

Fresh Market Salad w/Assorted Condiments & Dressings
 Fresh Sliced Seasonal Fruit Platter
   Herb Laced halibut
     Citrus Glazed Chicken
Baron of Beef served with Horseradish Sauce
         Roasted Red Potatoes
           Steamed Vegetable Medley
             Dinner Rolls & Butter
               Assorted Cakes & Pies
                 Coffee, Regular & Decaf

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Someone suggested Reveille at 06:30;
fortunately they will not find their way back from Death Valley until May
.)

The Scrambler Breakfast:

Note: The greatest amount of feedback received was about the breakfast menu. Folks wanted eggs cooked to order & biscuits & gravy added. The catering staff was responsive and provided the following breakfast menu:

Sliced fruit tray
Action Station: Eggs made to order.
   Breakfast Potatoes
     Bacon
       Grilled Sausage
         Biscuits & Gravy
            Jams, Marmalade & Butter
              Individual Fruit Juices
                Hot Tea, Coffee, Decaf Coffee

The breakfast cost is $10.00 + 7.25% Tax and 18% Service Charge for a rounded total of $12.50 per person
